erving our customers since 1912, Cowboy State Bank's history speaks of our commitment to our customers and the communities we serve. Cowboy State Bank has a rich western history, starting as a one room bank in 1912. The founder, Clyde C. Trader from Mountain Park, Colorado decided that the community of Ranchester, Wyoming would be a good place to start a small country bank. Opening for business May 22, 1912, the first location was in a small room in the front of the Nevees building in Ranchester. From there, the bank continued to prosper and grow over the years.

In 2001, the bank name was changed from Ranchester State Bank to Cowboy State Bank to better reflect the spirit and western hospitality we are so proud of. Also, in 2001, we opened Cowboy State Bank in Sheridan, located on Sheridan's Coffeen Ave.

We are proud to serve our customers in Wyoming, Montana, and beyond. Thank you for visiting Cowboy State Bank!
